Bot Policy

How Wampus behaves inside your server, what permissions it needs, and the rules it enforces on itself.

Last updated August 1, 2026

Permissions we request

Read Messages and Message History in channels where it is allowed, Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files, Add Reactions and Use Slash Commands.

Wampus never requests Administrator. If a permission is missing it degrades gracefully instead of failing silently.

When Wampus responds

Only when it is mentioned, replied to, or invoked with a slash command — or in channels an admin has explicitly opted into auto-reply.

It will not respond to other bots or webhooks unless a server owner enables it.

Content safety

Responses pass through moderation filters for sexual content involving minors, self-harm instructions, targeted harassment, and violent or illegal how-to content.

Blocked responses are replaced with a short refusal, not silently dropped.

Rate limits and fair use

Each server has a per-minute and per-day request budget depending on plan. Sustained abuse, prompt-injection farming, or resale of access can result in suspension.

Server owner responsibilities

Tell your members that an AI bot is present, keep it out of channels with sensitive information, and configure the personality and allowed channels to suit your community.

Reporting abuse

Report a harmful response or misuse in the support server. Include the message link and approximate timestamp so it can be traced.
